HIV/Aid awareness campaign in Gakyuom Village of Werkok

We conducted HIV/Aids awareness campaign in Gakyuom village of Werkok Boma, Makuach Payam in Bor County.

The activity covered both prevention and treatment of the disease at the CSI supported facility at Malual-chaat Military Hospital including benefits of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) and the ART services in malual Chaat military hospital and other nearby Health facilities.

The community members on the other hand welcomed the initiative to fight the disease and promised to go for circumcision, receive HIV testing services and drugs uptake in case of any +ve.

The Community requested the activity to be extended to other side of the river in order for all people to get the HIV preventive messages and access information related to all HIV/AIDS related components.
